A few weeks ago, Otello Stampacchia in the Rochaix lab in Geneva wrote to
bionet.chlamydomonas,

This is a followup: the y1 mt- strains in the Chlamydomonas Genetics Center
do cross satisfactorily, and the strain being used in Geneva turns out to
have been mt+.
