CELL BIOLOGIST
The Department of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State
University, Baton Rouge, invites applications for a tenure-track position
at the assistant professor level available August 16, 1998. Preference
will be given to applicants who have used a multidisciplinary approach to
answer basic questions related to cell morphogenesis; cell
motility/intracellular movements with respect to organelles, chromosomes,
and motors; or cell-cell interactions such as adhesion, recognition or
communication. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree and postdoctoral experience in
an appropriate area of cell biology or related field are required. The
successful candidate will be expected to maintain a vigorous,
extramurally-funded research program and contribute to teaching courses at
the undergraduate and graduate level.

research and teaching interest and should arrange to have 3 letters of
