Dear colleagues,

I am currently looking for a way to kill algal cells (Chlamydomonas
reinhardtii) WITHOUT causing any cell lysis nor changing surface properties
of the cell wall and plasma membrane. The purpose is to evaluate, if any,
passive uptake of trace metals. I would be greatful for any suggestions on
how to "gently" kill these cells.

Kind regards,

Claude.
