The Department of Biology at the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) is
searching for a full-time lab coordinator to assist with the delivery of
cell biology, molecular biology, and microbiology classes. The
Department of Biology currently employs one lab coordinator and this
search will add a second position. We would appreciate your help in

BIOLOGY LABORATORY COORDINATOR
100% time position, Dept. of Biology, University of Minnesota, Duluth
(UMD). Applicants must have bachelors degree in biological sciences and
experience in laboratory management or support; masters degree in
biologi-cal sciences preferred. Work as part of a team to provide
general lab support to department teaching and research missions;
provide support for selected lab courses in cell/molecular biology and
related areas; maintain biology stockroom and operation, including
inventory and ordering of chemicals, glassware, and supplies; serve as
dept safety coordinator, including hazard-ous waste handling; train and
supervise stockroom student employees; maintain and coordinate repair of
lab equipment and instrumentation; cell/molecular biology
techniques/software experience; instructional experi-ence; and strong
