Has anyone tried the BioRad "Helios" gene gun (hand held pistol) for Chlamy
transformation? I am particularly interested in chloroplast
transformation. It does not use a vacuum, but in principle it ought to
work, as other plant species have been transformed with it. And as it
appears capable of transforming other organisms more generally, it might
also be easier to convince one's colleagues to contribute towards the
cost...
Just wondering,
