Postdoctoral Research Associate
Job Description: A research associate position is available to study
mechanisms of gene regulation using Chlamydomonas as a model genetic
organism. The focus of the project will be on identifying and
characterizing genes that mediate global and pathway-specific regulation of
nitrate assimilation.
Qualifications: Applicants with a Ph.D. degree and extensive experience
in molecular biology and genetics are encouraged to apply.
Conditions of Employment: The starting date for this position is targeted
for July 1, 1999. The position is funded for three years with extension
possible, depending on the incumbent's ability to attract outside funding.
Salary and Fringe Benefits: Salary is dependent on professional
experience. Benefits include major medical insurance, life insurance,

University, and educational benefits.
Location: The University of Arkansas, a Land Grant university, enrolls
over 14,000 students. It is located in Northwest Arkansas, a dynamic and
