Postdoctoral Research Associate position available for two years
beginning immediately (start date negotiable) in the Botany Department
at Oklahoma State University <www.okstate.edu/artsci/botany>, to study
the physiological ecology of algae in a hypersaline environment.  Duties
will include field experiments (potentially under harsh weather
conditions and possibly requiring overnight stays at a field station)
and laboratory experiments involving isolation, culture, identification,
manipulation, and physiological characterization of halotolerant algae
and cyanobacteria, publication and other dissemination of results, and
assistance with supervision and training of graduate and undergraduate
students.  Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in the biological sciences
with published research in plant or algal physiology or ecology, and a
high level of motivation and ability to work independently in the lab
