We have a new resource page up at
http://www.biology.duke.edu/chlamy_genome/crc.html
that provides links to both the Chlamydomonas Genetics Center pages
and the ongoing genome project, plus tools for searching and analysis
of Chlamy sequences. WU-BLAST can be run from the site on a dataset
comprising all EST sequences from the Volvocales, or on assembled
contigs from the NSF-sponsored EST project. Text searches can also
be performed on BLASTX results of the assembled EST contigs searched
against the GenBank nr sequence set. Another new feature on the
resource page is a News column to provide updates on progress in the
genome project.
The chloroplast genome sequence has been revised slightly since the
first version was posted on the web in August. The most significant
change involves the Eco 13 and Eco 15 fragments spanning the ends of
the inverted repeat region. The revised sequence is available as a
text file at
http://www.biology.duke.edu/chlamy/chloro/genome.txt
Please come visit these pages, and change your web browser bookmarks
to retrieve the new resource home page.
