Graduate Programme in Molecular Analysis of Developmental
Processes in Plants

The University of Cologne offers a Ph. D. studentship funded by the
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft in a Graduate Programme organized by the
Department of Botany.

All activities of the Graduate Programme will be held in English. The
fellowship is for three years. Additional funds are available for
participation in scientific meetings, short research visits and
invitation of seminar speakers. The position is available immediately.

We are interested in the compositional and functional analysis of the
basal apparatus of flagellate green algae. The project will involve
identification and functional analysis of novel basal apparatus proteins
in the green flagellate Spermatozopsis similis. Immunological, protein
biochemical and molecular biological methods will be applied.
