Dear Chlamy people,
I would like to trace back the history of the C. reinhardtii strain
known as 495 (mt+). We obtained it from Dr. A. Chunaev at
St.-Petersburg University (St. Petersburg, Russia). He told us that
originally this strain was selected from Levine-Ebersold background
as negatively phototactic.
Could anyone add anything to this information and/or supply any
references regarding this strain?
