MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
REDOXINS AND RELATED PROTEINS
Aussois, France, June 26 - 30, 2005
We are happy to invite you to participate to the meeting on Redoxins and
related proteins which will be held June 26-30, 2005 in France. The website
is now open for business: http://sakura.cpe.fr/redoxin. Deadline for Early
registration is April, 15, 2005.
Thioredoxins were discovered more than 30 years ago. Since then, extensive
work has been performed concerning the function of these small disulfide
oxidoreductases which constitute a multigenic family in plants. The recent
development of genomics and proteomics approaches allowed a unique
breakthrough in the field, pointing to an increasing number of potential
functions for thioredoxins but also giving rise to numerous questions. This
meeting will provide a unique opportunity to discuss the latest
developments in the Redoxin field, with a particular emphasis on plant
studies. Attention will also be focused on other Redoxins, including
Peroxiredoxins, Glutaredoxins and Sulphiredoxins. The meeting will be
formatted in sessions devoted to specific topics, but without concurrent
symposia, so that all participants can get a full coverage of the
presentations. Sessions will include invited lectures from leading
scientists in the field as well as presentations selected from submitted
abstracts. Ample time will be devoted to poster presentations. Suggestions
concerning the scientific program are most welcome.
A special session will be dedicated to Dr Myroslawa MIGINIAC-MASLOW on the
occasion of her retirement.

The conference will be held in the "Centre Paul Langevin, in Aussois, a
