Hi all,
We are trying to design a fluorescence microscopy component of a Chlamy lab in an introductory biology course for majors.
Since the fluorescence microscopy will only be a small part of the lab, we would like to avoid staining of cells and wondered if anyone has a strain of Chlamy with a GFP-labeled protein that we might be able to use. This way the students will be able to observe the chloroplast fluorescence as will as GFP-fluorescence elsewhere in the cell.
We have no interest in using this strain for any research purposes, but only for observation in this course. I would maintain the culture so that we would not need to obtain it again.
Thank you.
