[Chlamydomonas] growing chlamy on 24-well plates

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience growing/maintaing chlamy
cultures in small volumes (say on a 12 or 24-well tissue culture plate)
for long periods of time. I'm planning a selection (natural selection)
expt and want to get many replicate populations. I'm a little worried that
the cultures will either splash and migrate from well to well if I put
them on a shaker, or will end up adapting to low gas levels if I don't
shake the cultures.
