Hello,
My name is Raymond Jee I am a sophomore at Rio Rancho High School in Rio Ra=
ncho, New Mexico. I am currently working on a science expo project; it invo=
lves the hydrogen production of chlamydomonas with and without flagella. I =
have a couple questions and was wondering if anyone could answer them? I cu=
rrently have two strains of chlamydomonas one with flagella that I bought f=
rom WardSci and another without flagella given to me courtesy of Peter Lefe=
bvre from UMN. It turns out when transferring flagella less chlamydomonas f=
rom an agar to a liquid they seem to culture slower. Is there something I=
=92m not doing correctly? Do they need to be under continuous stirring or =
bubbling because they have no flagella? Does anybody have an inexpensive me=
thod to measure the hydrogen after it is produced?
If you have any suggestions or ideas please e-mail me at xyraxx from hotmail.com
