Hello,

Usually, we cryopreserve our strains using the traditional method and leave them in vapor phase liquid nitrogen storage tanks until we need them. This seems to work for us and for lots of ther people. There are –150 degC freezers on the market that are used for human samples, usually used by hospitals I think and I was wondering if anyone knows if these can also be used to store Chlamy strains?

If anyone has tried this and it works please tell, it is more economical and less dangerous long term it seems. Thanks.
