I have been testing some recently sequenced Aplysia DNA using an
algorithm proposed by Gribskov (1984) that uses codon frequencies. It
makes nice plots and gives a number showing how much better the codon
usage for a given reading frame is than chance. However, it doesnt
offer any confidence measure for that number.
Does anyone who uses the Gribskov package know a measure of its
statistical significance? Or for any other similar methods?
Thanks,

PS Thanks to those who responded to my previous post and led me to the
Gribskov and related methods.
