Computerized lab notebook?

The technology is available to supply the bench worker with a
comprehensive, multimedia record-keeping tool. As an impediment to the
implimentation of such a tool, emotional/historical attachment to the
written form is probably not any stronger than was the attachment to
typewriters/hardcopy in the office setting.

One the tool is robust and easy and affordable it will be ubiquitous.

(I just hope I write it.)
