FACULTY POSITION IN COMPUTATIONAL BIOCHEMISTRY

   The Department of Biology and Biochemistry at the University of
Houston invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the
Assistant, Associate or Professor level. The position requires a Ph.D.
degree and post-doctoral experience. We are especially interested in
recruiting an individual with interests in areas of bioinformatics,
genomics, computational biochemistry or structure-based drug design.
The faculty member will be expected to develop and maintain a
nationally competitive research program, participate in graduate
training, and contribute to undergraduate teaching. The Department has
substantial computational resources, spacious labs and strong research
programs. Research collaborations are encouraged among the faculty and
with other research institutions in the Houston area. Review of
applications will begin by Oct 15, 1997 and continue until suitable
