I've made a few minor modifications to RasMol 2.6b2, the fantastic
molecule viewer for X.
1) linux termios compatibility
(...with the caveat that I know dangerously little about terminal
control. Fortunately the changes were simple.)
2) spaceorb support
SpaceOrbs are 6-degree of freedom joysticks. They're made for
gaming, but are brilliant for more general 3D rotation and
translation uses and much cheaper than a dialbox (~80$).
I've used it with i686-linux and alpha-osf1, although it should
work with any standard serial port.
The patches are in

You'll also find the latest 2.6b2 release there.
Thanks to Roger Sayle and Glaxo for releasing RasMol.
