The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Kentucky is
conducting a "Parallel Computing Workshop" from October 11-13, 2000. The
contents of this workshop is designed for those who do not have the time
to master the theory behind High Performance Computing but would like to
take advantage of the developments occuring in this field. The attendees
will have ample time to work on sample parallel codes and will receive
well organized notes and supplementary material.
The topics that will be discussed include: Parallel Architectures, MPI,
PVM, Domain Decomposition Algorithms, Krylov solvers, Preconditioners,
Parallel Software Libraries and Grid Partitioning Techniques.
To know more about these state of art programming paradigms, interested
parties are encouraged to access the full details of this workshop at
http://www.engr.uky.edu/hpctraining, or by sending an e-mail to
hpctraining at engr.uky.edu.
Registration is limited to the first 25 attendees.
