Certify or not to certify

Hello,

  I am thinking of taking a Bioinformatics Course at one of the
private institutions in order to get certified as a bio. info.
specialist. I am worndering if this is really worth it though. my
other option is to apply to grad. school and get an MS in
Bioinformatics. Which do people think is better as my career
progresses?
