Dear Colleague,
I am requesting your help as a reviewer for the "Human Genome Variation:
Haplotypes, Linkage Disequilibrium, and Populations" session of the Pacific
Symposium on Biocomputing 2003. PSB will be held on the Island of Kauai,
Hawaii, on January 3-7, 2003. This session of the Pacific Symposium on
Biocomputing 2003 will provide a forum for biologists and computer
scientists working in academics, government and industry to discuss new
research, methods, algorithms, and tools, that promise to facilitate the
elucidation of the connections between genotypes and phenotypes using the
data generated by high-throughput genotyping technologies.
PSB will publish accepted full papers in an archival proceedings indexed in
MEDLINE. All contributed papers will be rigorously peer-reviewed by at
least three referees. A limited number of papers will be selected for a
oral presentation to the full assembled conference. It is only through the
generosity of the anonymous reviewers that the growing success of PSB is
guaranteed.
By this means I would like to ask you to review one or two manuscripts
within your speciality field, if you are available to return the review
form at the latest by August 9, 2002. If your can help us, please reply to
this message as soon as possible specifying your speciality field, in order
to assign a manuscript for your review. Please also indicate if you would
be willing to review one or two manuscripts.
For more information on this session, and the other sessions of PSB, please
see the official web site at:

I would like to express in advance my gratitude for any help you can
provide.
Sincerely,
For the co-chairs,
Francisco M. De La Vega, Applied Biosystems
Kenneth K. Kidd, Yale University School of Medicine
Isaac Kohane, Children's Hospital of Boston
