Population Biology Question

Hello,

I am currently using the 'Krebs' computer program to look at population
estimates.
I need to do an equal catchability test and i am using the leslie, chitty
and chitty test with my open population.

However, i get a negative estimate for the estimated number Z-prime, but
this means i am catching far less animals than there are in the population?
It seemed that i had no trap shy or trap happy animals, and i could re-catch
them easily if i wanted to radio collar the animals, so why should the
animals be so unequally catchable?

Does anyone know how i can interpret this?
Thanks very much for any help,
David
