[Computational-biology] CALL: Research Positions, University of Coimbra, Portugal

Two research positions are available in the Adaptive Computation 
Group of the Centre of Informatics and Systems, University of Coimbra, 
Portugal (http://cisuc.dei.uc.pt). These positions are for:
.	PhD students holding an MSc degree or Diploma in Electrical 
Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent.
The positions are funded by the MyHeart project (IST-2002-507816) . an 
Integrated Project in the area of eHealth financed by the EU FP6 (for 
details see http://www.hitech-projects.com/euprojects/myheart/). The 
research topic is Biosignal processing. An indicative list of possible 
research topics is the following:

.	Processing of low quality ECG signals
.	Heart Failure decompensation prediction

The exact research topic of the new researcher will be chosen so as to 
match his/her experience aiming at maximum productivity. Appointments can 
be extended up to 3 years. Proven research experience in one of the 
following fields: digital signal processing, intelligent/non-linear data 
analysis, ECG analysis, very good knowledge of English, C/C++ programming 
and strong interest in academic research are highly desired. Furthermore, 
immediate availability to integrate the research team is highly desirable.
