Funding assistance for student participation at 9^th Annual
Conference on Computational Genomics
The National Science Foundation is providing financial support for
students, including travel stipends ($1000 each) and registration
scholarships ($585 each), is available for the 9^th Annual Conference on
Computational Genomics (CG'06) which will take place at the Renaissance
Harborplace Hotel, Baltimore, on October 28-31. CG'06 is a
multidisciplinary symposium that provides a forum for the presentation
and discussion of original research on computational biology and
bioinformatics. The major themes for CG'06 are:
- High-throughput automated genome annotation
- Bioinformatics for biological networks
- Bioinformatics for infectious diseases
If you are a student interested in attending the meeting and would like
to apply for funding assistance please consult the CG'06 web site at
http://www.cpe.vt.edu/genomics/index.html
Applications forms are available at
http://www.cpe.vt.edu/genomics/StudentApp.pdf
In addition to completing the application form, students will be
required to submit a letter of recommendation from a student advisor as
well as a 500-word written statement of research goals.
