Metabolomic Bioinformatics Specialist

Qualifications:
Position requires a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Biochemistry,
Chemistry or related field; with preference for demonstrated experience in
metabolomic bioinformatics. Experiences in chromatography and mass
spectrometry are desired. Some familiarity with database structure,
writing scripts, web based programming, principal component analysis and
other statistical data analysis methodology are highly
advantageous. Ability to retrieve, parse, store, mine data from public
databases, statistically analyze and prepare for publication data from
metabolomic experimentation from multiple instruments. Successful
candidate must be highly organized and posses excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
To work actively with the Director of Metabolomics in assisting the
Biotechnology Center users in metabolomic experimentation including
experimental design, data analysis, backup and archive. Participate
manuscript preparation and proposal writing for funding. Conduct workshops
and training internally and externally. Other duties as requested.
Type of Position and Salary:
Full-time academic professional position. Salary commensurate with experience.
