WILDLIFE GENETICS POST DOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION School of Forest
Resources and Environmental Science, Michigan Technological University,
1400 Townsend Drive, Houghton, MI 49931 General Description: A
post-doctoral research position is available at Michigan Tech
University to conduct genetic analysis of the Isle Royale wolf
population. For additional information about the project, please visit
our website at: www.isleroyalewolf.org. Responsibilities: 1) All
aspects of lab work for extraction of DNA from wolf scat, PCR
amplification of microsatellite loci and visualization using
Beckman-Coulter CEQ 8000 fragment analyzer and software. 2) Statistical
analysis of microsatellite data. 3) Preparing results for publication.
Projected duration of position: two years. Qualifications: PhD in
conservation genetics, laboratory experience, data analysis skills,
peer-reviewed publications.
