The ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Biomedicine
(ACM BCB) is the main conference of the newly formed ACM SIG Bioinformatics=
.

This is the second year of the ACM BCB Conference. Over 200 people attende=
d
ACM BCB 10, which took in Niagara Falls, NY on August 2-4, 2010.

ACM BCB 11 will be held in Chicago at the Hilton Suites Chicago =96
Magnificent Mile from August 1-3. The conference welcomes high quality,
original research papers. Papers should contain new algorithms or novel
computational approaches in the broad areas of bioinformatics, computationa=
l
biology and biomedicine. Papers that use existing computational techniques
in new and interesting ways leading to novel biological discoveries are als=
o
welcome. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

=B7 Genomics: Structural, Functional, and Comparative

=B7 Molecular Networks: Proteomics, Transcriptomics & Metabolomics

=B7 Phylogenetics at Gene and Genome Levels

=B7 Computational Systems Biology

=B7 Immunoinformatics and Computational Immunology

=B7 Computational Epidemiology

=B7 Biomedical and Translational Informatics

=B7 Databases, Knowledgebases & Ontologies for Bioinformatics

=B7 Machine Learning, Image Analysis, Knowledge Representation and
Inference

=B7 Integration of Biomedical Data

=B7 Text Mining and Natural Language Processing in Biomedicine

=B7 Hardware and Software Infrastructure for Biomedicine

The best of the accepted papers will be published in special issues of four
journals. See the web site for details.
