 Statistical, Computational and Visualization Methods in Medical Informatics Conference
June 3-4, 2011, Clarke University, Dubuque, Iowa

 This two-day national medical informatics conference will explore
 recent advances to understand, improve and analyze the impact of
 medical data analysis on treating and better understanding human
 diseases. Health care professionals, clinical researchers, and
 scientists will discuss and present new developments in determining
 efficient models to explore treatments and disease patterns related to major epidemic diseases such as cancer and HIV.

 Dr. Michael Coen, University of Wisconsin
 Dr. Dianne Cook, Iowa State University
 Dr. Frank Graziano, University of Wisconsin & Joint Clinical Research Center, Kampala, Uganda.
 Dr. Mary Sara McPeek, University of Chicago
 Dr. Robert Shafer , Stanford University
 Dr. George Weiner, The University of Iowa

 Authors are invited to submit abstracts that demonstrate original
 unpublished research in all areas of biomedical informatics. Surveys of important recent results and directions are also welcome. Authors of accepted abstracts may submit a paper. The three top papers will be announced at the conference, and winning authors will be reimbursed for publication costs if the paper is published before June 4, 2012 in a top tier journal. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

 Genetic Data Analysis
     * Genome-Phenome Analysis
     * Gene expression changes in adaptive immune response
     * Comparative approaches to immunology
     * Immunogenomics
