Call for Paper (Apologies for cross-posting)
ICARIS 2011 Special Issue on "Immunoinformatics and Computational
Immunology" BMC Bioinformatics
Deadline: 20 December 2011
Manuscripts should be submitted to Pietro Liò: pl219 from cam.ac.uk and
Giuseppe Nicosia: nicosia from dmi.unict.it
Dear Colleague,
The following Special Issue on "Immunoinformatics and Computational
Immunology" will be published in the International Journal BMC
Bioinformatics BioMed Journal
(http://www.biomedcentral.com/bmcbioinformatics/)
and is now open to receive submissions of full research papers for
peer-review and possible publication.
Special Issue: Immunoinformatics and Computational Immunology
Guest Editors: Pietro Liò, University of Cambridge, UK and Giuseppe
Nicosia, University of Catania, Italy
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 20 December 2011
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* Immune modelling;
* Structural Immunoinformatics;
* Computational Epidemiology;
* Epitope analysis and prediction;
* Analysis and prediction of MHC-peptide binding;
* Databases and ontologies for Immunoinformatics;
* Analysis and prediction of minor histocompatibility antigens;
* Predictive models on organ transplantation;
* Immunogenomics;
* Vaccine design;
* Multi-agent based models of immunity;
* Gene networks and systems biology in immunity;
* Theoretical Immunology;
* Gene expression changes in adaptive immune response;
* Computational Vaccinology;
* Comparative approaches to Immunology;
* Mathematical Modelling in Immunology;
* Computational immunogenetics;
* Human Immunoglobulin Heavy Chain;
* Modelling the Antibody Generation Process;
* Vaccines against intracellular pathogens;
* Allergenicity prediction.
You may send your manuscript now or up until the deadline.
Submitted papers should not have been published previously, nor be
under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Manuscripts should be formatted according to BMC Bioinformatics
instructions (see
http://www.biomedcentral.com/download/info/BMC_Instructions_for_authors_(supplements).pdf ), making particular attention on manuscripts type and related sections. Figures and tables should be put in the text. Separated files for figures are not requested at the submission time: they will be requested, if the paper will be accepted for publication, for its Camera Ready
version.
We ask you to give a first response regarding your interest in
publishing within the 1 December 2011, sending your agreement (see
http://www.biomedcentral.com/html/info/about/license.pdf ) and a first
revised abstract of your work.
This is a first calendar of deadlines for the submission of
manuscripts and for notifications to authors (all submission deadlines
are strict: failing to respect them, the paper will be rejected):
- Title and abstract submission: 1 December 2011 (Friday)
- Manuscript submission: 20 December 2011 (Tuesday)
- First notification to authors: 30 January 2012 (Monday)
- Revised manuscript submission: 27 February 2012 (Monday)
- Final notification to authors: 12 March 2012 (Monday)
Please visit the Instructions for Authors before submitting a
manuscript: http://www.biomedcentral.com/bmcbioinformatics/
Manuscripts should be submitted to Pietro Liò: pl219 from cam.ac.uk and
Giuseppe Nicosia: nicosia from dmi.unict.it
Further deadlines and methods for the payment of publication costs
will be communicated at a later time.
Papers appearing in BMC Bioinformatics has an associated publishing
cost of 1,080.00 Euro per paper. By submitting, authors will therefore
agree to pay these costs, in case of publication.
We hope that you will take this opportunity and we are greatly looking
forward to keeping working with you!
Kind regards,
Pietro Liò and Giuseppe Nicosia.
