You are cordially invited to submit a full original manuscript for
consideration to publish
in the 11th international conference on Bioinformatics and
Computational Biology (InCoB2012).
Depending on the submission tracks, selected papers will be published
in one of the four
journals, namely BMC Genomics (supplement), BMC Bioinformatics
(supplement), Journal of
Immunological Methods, or Systems and Synthetic Biology. The theme for
this year was set to
promote the advancement of bioinformatics and computational biology
and encourage the
exchange of scientific breakthrough amongst participants. We would
like to encourage
submissions of bioinformatics and related topics from various fields
including (but not
limited to) agroinformatics, population genetics, drug design and
discovery, systems biology,
biological sequence analysis, expression data analysis, scalable data storage.

In addition to the aforementioned paper track, we also accept the
submission of an abstract
to be presented in a poster session.  All accepted abstracts will be
published in book of
abstracts.

Like prior years, we use EasyChair to manage submissions. Authors are
requested to
submit their original manuscripts/abstracts through your choice of
journal and/or poster tracks.
There are four journal tracks: 1) BMC Genomics full paper, 2) BMC
Bioinformatics full paper,
3) Journal of Immunological Methods full paper, and 4) Systems and
Synthetic Biology full paper.
For the abstract submission, there are additional tracks: 1) Poster
abstract, and 2) Technology/Demo abstract.

Authors/contributors can use the following disciplines and
non-exclusive list of topics
as their guidance to submit papers/abstracts to the conference:

ï Agroinformatics
ï Bioimaging
ï Bioinformatics applications
ï Bioinformatics models, methods & algorithms
ï Biological sequence analysis
ï Bio-ontology and semantics
ï Data mining and knowledge discovery
ï Database management
ï Drug design and discovery
ï Genetics of cell differentiation & reprogramming
ï Genomics
ï Genome and proteome manipulation
ï High through-put omics and imaging platforms
ï Immunoinformatics
ï Medical and Health informatics
ï Metabolomics
ï Metagenomics
ï Microarray analysis
ï Population Genetics
ï Proteomics
ï Scalable data storage
ï Structural bioinformatics
ï Synthetic biology
ï Systems biology
ï Workflow and Knowledge Management

In order to promote research integrity, InCoB conference submissions,
especially full papers are required to be accompanied by a self-declaration
of non-plagiarism, (see example template) accompanied by a full
anti-plagiarism report of commonly used anti-plagiarism software such as
Turnitin, Veriguide, Desktop Plagiarism Checker (see also www.plagiarisma.net).
Example declaration to be included in the covering letter:
"We, the Authors collectively and individually declare that to our best
ability, we have ensured that the submission (manuscript, supplementary
data, deposited data, database entries and/or software code) does not
contain any plagiarized material, content or ideas, and that all necessary
attributions have been appropriately cited and acknowledged and all copyright
permissions obtained."
