*ACM-BCB* is now inviting interested groups to submit applications for
*demonstrations
and exhibits at ACM-BCB 2014**. *
*ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Biomedicine
(ACM BCB)* is the flagship conference of the *ACM SIGBio* (ACM Special
Interest Group on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Biomedical
Informatics). ACM BCB 2014 will be held in Newport Beach, CA,
from September 20-23, 2014. The keynote speakers of this year’s program
include Dr. Søren Brunak. Details about the conference can be found at
http://www.cse.buffalo.edu/ACM-BCB2014/.
*ACM-BCB 2014 Demonstrations and Exhibits* are intended to provide a
platform for dissemination of information about established data-portals,
knowledge-bases, web-services, and web-based tools of broad interest to the
bioinformatics, computational biology, and biomedicine research community.
Data-portals for major funding initiatives and large-scale experimental
data repositories are of particular interest.
Interested groups can arrange space for booths or poster boards for the
duration of the conference. A session on demonstrations and exhibits is
also planned, consisting of a small number of short (10-15min)
presentations, plus an opportunity for one-on-one demonstrations. Poster
easel boards will be provided by the conference upon request. All booth
space must be arranged separately (please send an email to
*acmbcb2014exhibits from gmail.com
<acmbcb2014exhibits from gmail.com>* with the subject line “Booth”). All
presenters and demonstrators are expected to register for the conference.
*Proposals can be submitted to **acmbcb2014exhibits from gmail.com
<acmbcb2014exhibits from gmail.com>** at any time until July 17, 2014.* Proposals
should provide a title and short abstract for the demo/exhibit and indicate
the desired presentation options: a) booth, b) poster board, c) short
presentation, and/or d) one-on-one demos.
