The International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications (ISBRA) seeks
submission of short abstracts presenting (a) original research in any area of
bioinformatics and computational biology, (b) significant bioinformatics applications, or
(c) development of experimental/commercial systems. Topics of interest include but are
not limited to:
* Biomarker discovery * High-performance bio-computing
* Biomedical databases and data integration * Metagenomics
* Biomedical text mining and ontologies * Molecular evolution
* Biomolecular imaging * Molecular modeling and simulation
* Comparative genomics * Next-generation sequencing data analysis
* Computational genetic epidemiology * Pattern discovery and classification
* Computational proteomics * Population genetics
* Data mining and visualization * Software tools and applications
* Gene expression analysis * Structural biology
* Genome analysis * Systems biology
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND PUBLICATION INFORMATION
Please submit short abstracts (of up to 4 pages in Springer LNCS format) via the online
submission system.
Submission implies willingness of at least one author to register and present at the
symposium.
Short abstracts accepted for presentation will be published online and selected for either
oral or poster presentation. As in previous years, authors of selected short abstracts will
be invited to submit full-length papers to special issues of BMC Bioinformatics, BMC
Genomics, or International Journal of Bioinformatics Research and Applications.
