Hello,

I'd try and take some basic animal physiology courses, particularirly
comparitive physioliogy. Some upper level biochemistry, 3rd year
thermodynamics, and of course you've have to proficiencient in molecular
biology (DNA cloning). This type of back ground will allow you to look at
whole organism adaptations and then examne the problem in a methodical way
from the organism to the DNA.
