     Yes...Yes it is true. RDS in NJ sells or is close to selling the 
     Amplicor Mtb kit for RESEARCH ONLY. If you were at ICAAC you saw the 
     Amplicor COBAS which will also incorporate Mtb in the near future.

I believe that Roche Diagnostics (a division of the Swiss pharmaceutical giant Hoffman 

LaRoche) sells a PCR diagnostic kit for M. tuberculosis.  Hope this helps.
