	Chapter 7 of Michael Ashburner's "Drosophila, A Laboratory
Handbook" (the big grey one) is called "tissue culture." On page 118,
he gives in-text citation of the original papers describing the origins
of the cell lines, on pages 133-138 he gives the complete bibliographical
references.

	Not to stroke MA's ego *too* much, I'd like to point out that
*lots* of questions about Drosophila, and pointers to the primary
literature, can be found by referring to his book. Errata may be
found in the FlyBase directory at the IU molbio archives (gopher- and
ftp-accessible).

	Start close to home...
