Okay, here's a reference from Boehringer Mannheim's catalog on the DIG 
system, dunno if you have it or not....

Manoukian, A.S., Krause, H.M. (1992).  Concentration-Dependent Activities 
of the Even Skipped Protein in Drosophila Embryos.  Genes and Development 
6: 1740-1751.

	They are from the Banting and Best Institute here in Toronto.
	They studied whole-mount Drosophila probed for ftz mRNA with a 
	cDNA probe.
