drosophila developmental biology labs

Dear Drosophilists,

	Since the developmental biology of drosophila is relatively new 
for me, I would like to ask these questions. What are now the hottest 
labs and topics in developmental biology of drosophila today ?? Is 
Drosophila the best model in developmental biology  or other 
organisms could be also attractive models ?? 

	I have made several medline searches, I have topics and labs in
mind but I would like to confirm with people already in the field.
