Methionine incorporation in drosophila cells.

Hi!
I would like to make a metabolic labelling of a drosophila cell line using
radioactive methionine. Does anybody out there have the experience with
such methods? My initial experiments have suffered from too low methionine
incrporation.
Is there a special cell line/culture medium and method to reach a high
specific incorporation?
Is it also possible to do metabolic labelling directly with adult flies/larvae?

Any hints would be greatly appreciated!
