You folks should read May Berenbaum's columns (referred to by Barry, and
published in whatever the monthly magazine [not journal] of the Ent. Soc.
of America is).  May is truly funny.  Not only that, she is Chair of
her department, a member of the National Academy of Sciences, and 
organizer of the annual "Insect Fear" film festival at U. of Illinois.
If you ever get a chance to hear her speak, go out of your way to do so.
