Developmental genetics project for Drosophila?

Can someone suggest to me a short and simple developmental genetics
lab for Drosophila? Striking, simple, illuminating spanning about
three or four weeks. And enough to satisfy a professor that doesn't,
well you know, like me particularly...

I have access to a complete laboratory and also (perhaps) to some
molecular biology equipment.
