Hi all,
Photosearch, Inc. is a firm of picture editors working with Saunders College
Publishing in Philadelphia on a new college cell biology textbook. The book
is entitled, Asking About Cells and is being written by Allan Tobin of UCLA.

At present, I am searching for several photos to do with drosophila. Please
review this list and let me know if you have any of these photos which would
be appropriate and which you would like to see appear in print (with your
credit, of course).
Hope to hear from you as soon as possible.

Photos are needed of:
*TEM showing replication bubbles DNA in drosphila
*micrograph of Drosophila melanogaster chromosomes, showing the 4 pairs at
meiotic metaphase; want to show relative sizes
* two photos(a) wild type polytene chromosomes from salivary gland of wild
tupe drosophia showing the region on chromosome II that is deleleted in (b)
ploytene chromosome of normal drosophilashowing deletion in the vestigal
purple region of chromosome II preferably one spanning the vg. and pr. loci
*example of p-galactosidase expression in a reproter construct in a
drosophila embryo
*photo of a wild type and a mutant drosophila or wild type and mutant c.
elegans with mutation in a transcription factor eg. bithorax which converts
dev. of rudimentary wings into full wings so bithorax flies have two sets of
wings
Photos should be by federal express using Saunders fed ex number 1539-7110-2
isbn 0030980186
thanks.
