The September 29, 1995 issue of Science contained the following announcement
of a position:

Eukaryotic Geneticist

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Eukaryotic Genetics
at the ASSISTANT or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR level in the Department of Biological
Sciences, University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Ph.D. required; postdoctoral
experience preferred. The primary teaching responsibility of the successful
candidate will be a core course in undergraduate genetics with laboratory.
The candidate will also be expected to contribute to other courses at the
undergraduate and graduate levels and to maintain an active independent
research laboratory. The area of research is open, but should be compatible
with existing support facilities. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae
(sic), a copy of unofficial graduate transcripts, a brief description of
current and future research interests, a statement of teaching interests, and
three letters of recommendation by November 10, 1995 to: Department of
