I would like to identify my mutant embryos without fixing them for Western analysis and thought a GFP marked balancer would do the trick. Does anyone have experience with this or the reagents to give it a try? GFP regulated by an inducible promoter like a heat shock promoter on a second chromosome balancer would be perfect for my experiments.
