Does anyone have any information about natural pupation sites for
Drosophila melanogaster, or any pointers to references or someone who
would know? We are specifically interested in knowing how far larvae
travel from host fruit to pupate, and whether pupation sites are
sheltered or exposed to sunlight. This information is needed to
interpret effects of Hsp70 overexpression on thermotolerance in
wandering larvae and pupae.
