HELP required. Effects of ether on sterility.

I'm putting this up on behalf of a 17 year old student who is having 
trouble with her project. It is on the effects of anaesthetic ether on 
the fertility of male drosophila flies.

I scanned the web and found one or two papers on the effects of ether but 
they don't seem to cover sterility.

Can any one help with references, on-line papers, advice etc..
