Hello drosophilists.

Question: What is the typical X deletion in y+mal+Y chromosomes?

Since y+ is on one end of the X chromosome and mal+ is on the other end.
I know from the redbook that it is an X-ray deletion from YSX.YL, but how
much of the X is deleted?

Anyone know?
Thanks,
Tim Fergestad
