Can anyone provide a reference and/or formula for calculating the efficiency of EMS mutagenesis, based on mutation rate, genome size, etc. I.e., what mutation rate/EMS conc. is needed to get a 95% confidence of hitting every gene atleast once, as in the Nusslein-Volhard Wieschaus screen? This is not for Drosophila, so I would like a variable parameter for genome size.
