FlyBase is pleased to announce a new search utility available through
our Web pages. It is the "Gene Expression Pattern" search tool.

This query tool will access FlyBase information on the tissue and
temporal distributions of transcripts and proteins. FlyBase is
capturing such information using a controlled set of anatomical terms,
which are organized in a body parts hierarchy. By clicking on one of
the body part terms, you will receive a listing of transcripts or
proteins expressed in any body part that is represented below that
level in the hierarchy.

Expression pattern data are also available for a subset of published
lacZ and GAL4 reporter constructs and enhancer trap lines.

The "Gene Expression Pattern" search is available from either the
"Genes" or "Searches" categories on the FlyBase home page.
