Doesn't seem to happen with flies as much as with parasitic 
wasps but in either case touching the vial or whatever on an 
earthed object (water tap or the cold light source) seems to 
work.

Incidentely, if you're not already humidifying your 
CO2 you might consider doing so now.  Not only might 
you reduce your static but you also get healthier 
flies. Running dry CO2 over flies dehydrates them remarkably 
quickly and that doesn't do them any good.
